Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
Title I of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is a federally funded program that provides services which include employment and training activities for adults and dislocated workers, as well as youth activities. The Employment Security Commission contracts with Local Service Areas to provide these services. WIA contracted services vary according to Local Area.

Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) and North American Free Trade Act (NAFTA)
TAA is a federal program which provides assistance to workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work and wages are reduced as a result of increased imports. TAA FAQs provide more information about this program. NAFTA provides retraining opportunities for trade-affected workers.
