NC CRN provides career information as well as career development products and services for the state's youth, adults, and the workforce development professionals who assist them with career decision making. SOICC's Career Resource Network web site presents information to help plan and manage careers. Resources include self-assessments, occupational exploration tools, information about employment trends and education options and job search tips. It also includes resources for educational and career development professionals.

Career Planning Resources
Understanding the ongoing career planning process enables individuals - regardless of age - to make career lifetime decisions based on changes within the world of work. It also connects them with effective job search techniques so that they can acquire meaningful work. Components of the career planning process include:
Self Assessment helps individuals discover interests, skills, personality traits, and values that relate to career and life plans.
Career Exploration includes researching information about job descriptions and requirements, salary and working conditions, education and training requirements, and the labor market, including demographics as well as industrial and occupational trends.
Job Search Techniques provide individuals with effective interviewing, resume writing, and other career management tools.
