Employment and Wages in North Carolina by Occupation
The Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OES) program collects information on employment and wages by occupation through a semi-annual survey of North Carolina industries.
The annually published data includes estimates of the number of workers and entry, average, and experienced wages by occupation for North Carolina, Statewide by Industry,
the 14 Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs), 24 Workforce Development Boards (WDBs), seven Economic Development Regions (EDRs), and counties. Confidentiality requirements
must be met before data is published in the smaller geographical areas.

North Carolina Occupational Projections 2006-2016
The Industry and Occupational Projections program is responsible for producing future estimates of employment Statewide and for the twenty-four defined Workforce Development Board Areas.
All data used in the export base model are gathered from the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW), the Current Employment Statistics (CES) survey results, Census data,
State Office of Budget and Management and the Occupational Employment Statistics (OES).

Occupations Requiring a License in North Carolina
Occupations Requiring A License in North Carolina reports on
occupational licensing, certification and registration requirements in North Carolina.
More than 140 occupational job descriptions listing education and experience criteria
are highlighted. Application, examination and fee information are presented. The
responsible licensing board's address and phone numbers are included. The study also
includes a list of occupations offering apprenticeship training. Limited certification,
registration and reciprocity data are also provided.

This information has been gathered and prepared into convenient files (packets) for users to access online. A separate file containing the complete occupation titles along with its SOC code is also available.
(Note: The total unemployment rate, unemployment rate for males and unemployment rate for females were calculated using Census 2000 data and are not comparable to the unemployment rate calculated by the Local Area Unemployment Statistics unit.)
